Hey! I'm Emma

I'm an effervescent, glass-half-full, fun-loving, mildly crazy Romsey based photographer. My goal is to ensure you and your family leave your session with smiles on your dials and amazing memories to treasure – both those captured on film, and of the actual photoshoot experience.

I’m also a mum of 2 beautiful children, Aurora and Kody, and wife to my amazing partner in crime, Josh. I love nothing more than riding dirt bikes and Harleys and getting covered in mud with the kids! I’m also a coffee-addict, who can’t sit still and am always doing 1065 things at once.

My original ‘trade’ was teaching but a decade ago, I made the decision to pursue my true calling, photography…and have never looked back.

Aurora Joy Photography is named after my eldest child Aurora and my Nanna Joy. For the last 10 years I have continued to build AJP and my passion grows with every client that I photograph.

I sincerely remember every single mum, bub and backstory, and can't wait to capture your unique journey.

Lateisha strides for perfection in her work, empowering & enhancing one’s natural beauty. She uses my knowledge & experience to help you look & feel comfortable during the entire session as well as having many laughs along the way.

Lateisha is based out of Bacchus Marsh and has been working along side Emma for 6 years and continues to create magic with every client she glams.

When she is not in the studio, she is at home chilling on the couch with a nice face mask cuddling her 2 adorable little bunnies, Willow & Theodore or building her forever home with her partner Justin. So I guess you can call her a Tradie too!

Mekayla has been working in the beauty industry for 6 years and with Aurora Joy Photography glamming our beautiful Mumma's for a little on a year. She graduated her course ‘Diploma of specialist makeup services’ in 2016 and jumped straight in to owning and running a professional freelance HMUA business. She has since expanded in to doing spray tanning.

Mekayla is a Macedon ranges local, she has lived in Romsey her entire life. She has a big family including 6 beautiful nieces and nephews from the ages of 1-15.

When she is not in the studio creating glorious looks, she loves hanging out with her family and being adventurous.

The gorgeous Skye has been with AJP for a little over 8 years and is our resident professional Hair and Makeup artist, A.K.A our Glam Squad. With complete dedication to the cause, she has been known to travel across Melbourne at 3am to work her magic #staffmemberoftheyear!

She knows precisely how to harness your natural beauty, so you still look like ‘you’ – but the best possible version.

A proud mum of 1 (2 if you include fur baby Benji), she’s also an amazing water colour artist. When you’re in the studio, remind me to show you the portrait she painted of my fur child Olli!
