First birthdays are an exciting milestone and a cake smash photo session not only captures beautiful memories, but has fun factor in spades! Our 4-inch vanilla cakes are made by Little Red’s Patisserie and are 100% allergy safe. You can choose a basic semi naked cake, or take it to the next level with a cake to complement your theme.

Our advice is to keep the cake as simple as possible, so that it doesn’t detract from the hero of the photo – the gorgeous birthday girl / boy!

We are experts at transforming visions into reality and take care of everything from the outfit and set up, right through to the mini bath at the end. Now that’s the icing on the cake!

First Birthday Cake Smash sessions are best when your little one is between 10 and 12 months old (when they are sitting unassisted but not yet walking) and are approximately 1 hour long. We can also do a cake smash session for any birthday year (1 -100+).

Immediately after your cake smash session or within a week, enjoy a relaxing moment in our office with delicious snacks and drinks as you preview your photo gallery, wall art mock-ups, and choose your preferred package. Confirm and complete payment for your order.

We begin with a clean portrait session, transition to a messy cake smash, and conclude with a warm bubble bath. Just bring a change of clothes for yourself and light snacks for your little one – we'll handle the rest!

What does your cake smash session fee include?

Your $200 session fee includes:

- Allergy safe custom cake to suit your chosen colour/theme.

- The session itself with a clean portrait session first, followed by the smash.

- A custom backdrop and outfit to suit your colour/theme.

- A beautiful matted 8x12 print with your favourite photograph.

- Gallery viewing of your beautiful photographs.

- Social media sneak peek.
