When Baby Beau Stole My Heart

Well this is one of them. I first met Eliza and Kyle when Eliza was pregnant with their first little love, Georgie. We captured her glowing maternity session through Aurora Joy Photography, then welcomed Georgie earthside with her newborn photos… and now, here we are again — meeting their beautiful baby boy, Beau, at just 12 days old.

Honestly, being invited back into a family’s story like this is the most heart-filling thing and its When baby Beau stole my heart.

Their session took place in my cosy Romsey photography studio, just outside Melbourne. Oh my goodness — Beau was the sleepiest, squishiest little sweetheart. He loved being curled up in wraps, and we kept everything simple and neutral so those beautiful newborn details shine. I also have to give a special shoutout to the always-fabulous Mekayla from Mekayla Corner Makeup Artist — Eliza looked absolutely radiant thanks to her gorgeous, natural glam.

Of course, after captured the full Meyer family- It was Georgie’s turn. Georgie is now three and proudly taking on her new role as big sister. She was full of personality and love for her baby brother, although not from the start. I had to use a few tricks to capture these photos.

Seeing Eliza and Kyle with their two little ones, and knowing I was there when their journey first started, gave me all the feels. As we finished his session, I looked back through the many photographs I had snapped. It wasn’t just about those tiny fingers and sleepy sighs.
